New flights arriving at PIE, Punta Gorda Airport

GULF COAST — Allegiant has announced new, non-stop jet service for 14 routes, including the addition of five new cities. Allegiant will now offer service to Pittsburgh; Indianapolis; Omaha, Neb.; Richmond, Va.; and Jacksonville.

These additions included new non-stop flights to and from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport to Pittsburgh; Indianapolis; Richmond, Va.; Hagerstown, Md.; and Omaha, Neb. Service to Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Richmond, Va., has already started. Flights to Hagerstown, Md. will begin on Feb. 27, and flights to Omaha, Neb., will start on March 5.

Two new non-stop flights have also been added to Punta Gorda Airport. Service has already started from/to Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.

“We are extremely pleased to announce this expansion and bring new convenient, low-cost vacation options to five new communities, as well as new destination options for those communities we currently serve,” says Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Co. senior vice president of planning, in a press release.
