Regency Transportation closing, most clients going to Naples Transportations, Tours
Naples Transportation & Tours has acquired most of the book of business and certain assets of Regency Transportation Inc. of Naples. Along with the agreement, the more than 10-year-old transportation company will be closing.

“This agreement will enable us to take care of the loyal, long-term customers of Regency Transportation while allowing Tony [Marino] to focus on his valet parking business” Randy Smith, CEO of Naples Transportation & Tours, says in a press release. “This transaction also further solidifies our position as the town's oldest and largest transportation provider.”

Marino founded Regency Transportation in 2003 with just a telephone and a limousine. It has grown to a fleet of nearly 15 vehicles, including sedans, limousines and buses, along with Marino's valet service.

Naples Transportation & Tours has operated in Collier County for more than 25 years. It currently employs more than 80 associates and operates a fleet 54 luxury vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, executive vans, stretch limousines, mini-buses, party buses and trolleys. In addition to providing ground transportation, Naples Transportation & Tours is a destination management company that works with Fortune 500 companies handling all aspects of conventions and meetings held in Southwest Florida. The company also operates Naples Trolley Tours, Everglades Excursions and Segway Tours of Naples, and is the contracted and recommended transportation company for several area resort hotels.

HSN, Disney Studios reach multi-film marketing deal
St. Petersburg-based HSN has reached a film marketing collaboration agreement with Disney Studios for three films: “Maleficent,” “Cinderella” and “The Hundred-Foot Journey.” The three-film and two-year collaboration with HSN marks the first time that Disney Studios has enlisted a multimedia retailer for a comprehensive long-term entertainment marketing alliance.

In advance of the release of each film, HSN will create content-driven retail events across all of its platforms: TV, online, social and mobile. HSN will be selling fashion, jewelry, beauty and home accessories inspired by or reminiscent of each of the three films. The first HSN event will take place during the days leading up to the May 30 release of “Maleficent,” followed by similar events for “The Hundred-Foot Journey” in August and “Cinderella” in spring 2015.

xG Technology prices 5 million share offering
Sarasota's xG Technology Inc. has offered up 5.27 million shares of common stock for $1.90 per share. The company expects to receive $10 million in gross proceeds, before underwriting discounts, commissions and offering expenses.

Representative of the underwriters have a 45-day option to purchase up to 789,750 shares of common stock.

xG Technology says it will use the income for general corporate purposes, including working capital, product development and fulfillment, marketing, expansion of internal sales and finalizing the transition to contract manufacturing production lines.

The public offering comes as xG Technology announced it had shipped $1.75 million worth of xMax cognitive networking equipment and engineering services to customers since the beginning of the year.

Bayprint receives top management award from CPrint International
Al and Nancy Karnavicius of St. Petersburg's Bayprint received the top management award from CPrint International during its biannual board meeting in Nashville, Tenn. Every six months, CPrint selects a printer who has demonstrated the most significant positive changes in his or her company over the past six months from among its participants.

According to Tom Crouser, CPrint's chairman, Bayprint is among an elite group of companies whose growth and profitability are increasing in the face of ever increasing competition.
