PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Mark Pentecost, CEO of Bradenton-based It Works! Global, purchased 689 acres in Myakka City for $3.75 million.

The price equated to $5,443 per acre.

The property, which covers a portion of the Myakka River and borders State Road 70, was acquired to add to Pentecost's existing 350-acre ranch. Mark and Cindy Pentecost currently use the Pentecost Ranch for breeding Texas Longhorn and Brangus beef cattle.

The couple is considering building another home on the property in the future for entertaining.
