FORT MYERS — The board of directors of Chico's FAS Inc. has appointed Todd Vogensen as the company's new senior vice president and chief financial officer. He will replace Pamela Knous, who left to pursue other interests.

Prior to his appointment as CFO, Vogensen had been the company's senior vice president of finance.

Vogensen has worked for Chico's FAS in several roles over the last five years. He joined Chico's FAS in October 2009 as vice president of planning and strategy. He was later promoted to vice president of investor relations and then to senior vice president of finance.

Prior to joining Chico's FAS, Vogensen held multiple positions with Michaels Stores Inc. from January 2005 to October 2009, including corporate controller and vice president of merchandising and marketing finance.

Before joining Michaels, he served as assistant corporate controller of Gap Inc. from 2003 to 2005. Vogensen has also held multiple finance management positions at Hewlett Packard Co., and practiced as an audit manager and CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Vogensen will report to Kent Kleeberger, the company's executive vice president, chief operating officer and its chief financial officer from 2008 to 2011.
