NAPLES — State regulators approved First National Bank of the Gulf Coast's conversion to a state charter and new name: First Florida Integrity Bank.

“The change from a nationally chartered bank to a Florida state charter enables us to grow more efficiently,” says Gary Tice, chairman and CEO of First National Bank of the Gulf Coast. “We are looking forward to working with Florida regulators, who are closer in proximity to us as compared to regulators in Washington, D.C.”

The name change will be effective June 28. As of March 31, First National Bank's assets totaled $865 million, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

“There will be no change to the bank's management team,” says Garrett Richter, the bank's president. “Gary Tice will remain as chairman and CEO and I as president.”
