BRADENTON — The National Retail Federation recognized Dan Doyle, a top executive with Beall's, for his leadership in loss prevention practices and techniques.
Doyle, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for the Bradenton-based retailer, received the NRF's Ring of Excellence Award at the organization's Loss Prevention Conference and Expo June 12. The award, according to a release from the NRF, recognizes Doyle for “his contributions, achievements and outstanding leadership throughout a 40-year career.”
Doyle has played a significant role in advancing retail crime awareness among NRF members, the retail industry and federal lawmakers, the organization says. He also chaired the NRF Loss Prevention Advisory Council from 2005 to 2008. He was awarded the federation's Silver Plaque in recognition of an outstanding retailer's contribution to the industry at the NRF's annual convention in 2008.
Beall's, with separate divisions for department stores in Florida and outlet stores nationwide, had $1.289 billion in 2013 revenues. The National Retail Federation is the world's largest retail trade association. It represents discount and department stores, home goods and specialty stores, Main Street merchants, grocers, wholesalers, chain restaurants and Internet retailers from the United States and more than 45 countries.
