Former CEO named university chair

NAPLES — Hodges University named former hospital CEO Phillip Schaengold as chair of the health services administration program.

Schaengold, who has been an adjunct professor at Hodges since last year, has over 25 years of experience as CEO at academic medical centers including Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, N.J., and Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga.

Prior to teaching in the health services administration program at Hodges, Schaengold also held adjunct teaching positions at SUNY Upstate University Medical Center and The George Washington University Medical Center.

Schaengold received his law degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at the University of Northern Kentucky, an MBA from the University of Cincinnati and his bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati.
