Tampa Port adds Latin America marketing director

TAMPA — Port Tampa Bay has hired Gonzalo Padron as the new director of marketing and business development - Latin America.

Padron has more than 20 years of experience working in the maritime and trade sector, including with DHL Forwarding, Datamyne, PIERS, Seaboard Marine, and Tecmarine. Fluently bilingual and with a strong background in trade data analysis and account management, Padron's responsibilities will include Port Tampa Bay's outreach and liaison with cargo owners and ocean carriers, with a particular focus on trade with Latin America.

Port Tampa Bay administers Florida's largest ports, which handles bulk and containerized cargos, serves as a cruise ship home ports and shipbuilding and repair. The port is estimated to generate more than 80,000 jobs and $15 billion in economic impact.
