TAMPA — Quality Distribution Inc. has named Chris Broussard as president of its wholly owned subsidiary QC Energy Resources.

Broussard will be taking over the president's responsibilities from Joe Troy, who in addition to his normal responsibilities as chief financial officer has served as interim president of QC Energy Resources since January.

“Chris is an industry veteran, with more than 22 years of combined transportation and energy services-related experience,” Gary Enzor, chairman and CEO, says in a press release.

Broussard previously served as president of Oilfield Trucking Solutions, which until a recent spin off had been a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corp. Earlier in his career, he spent six years with Occidental Petroleum Corp. in numerous leadership positions including director of transportation for Occidental Energy Transportation, a private crude oil trucking division of Occidental Petroleum.

Tampa-based Quality Distribution operates the largest chemical bulk logistics network in North America through its wholly owned subsidiary, Quality Carriers Inc. It also provides logistics and transportation services to the unconventional oil and gas industry through its wholly owned subsidiaries, QC Energy Resources Inc. and QC Environmental Services Inc.
