Barnes Industrial Plastic Piping sold

TAMPA — Ryan Herco Flow Solutions, a Burbank, Calif.-based specialty distributor of fluid-handling products has purchased Barnes Industrial Plastic Piping in Tampa.

“Barnes has tremendous strength in the Florida contractor marketplace and has developed unique capabilities to service these customers,” Chuck Moyer, CEO of Ryan Herco, says in a press release. "The combination of the two companies will be very powerful and gives us the ability to acquire and add significant value to customers in all size segments and end-markets."

Moyer says Ryan Herco is hoping to acquire more companies like Barnes over the next few years.

Rick Barnes, CEO and Founder of Barnes Industrial Plastic Piping, wrote in press release that “Partnering with Ryan Herco brings greater resources including product lines, distribution capabilities, catalog and Web capabilities and information.”

Representatives from both companies were unavailable to comment immediately on the price, schedule and impact on the Tampa office of the acquisition.

Founded in 1948, Ryan Herco Flow Solutions operates from 28 locations worldwide.

Barnes Industrial Plastic Piping has branches in Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami.
