The Guy Harvey brand, a combination of marine biology, art and photography, has docked at Gateway Bank.

Gateway Financial Holdings of Florida, a Daytona Beach-based multiple charter company with holdings that include Sarasota-based Gateway Bank of Southwest Florida, announced a partnership with Harvey at its recent annual shareholders meeting. Products include the Guy Harvey Legacy Account, which features Harvey-branded debit cards and checks.

Gateway Bank locations across the state will introduce the products later this year, according to a release. The bank will also make a $50 donation to the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation for each Legacy account opened. The connection even spread to the production of the bank's annual report, which was designed with Harvey artwork.

Other area firms that embrace the lifestyle and culture of Fort Lauderdale-based Harvey include Bradenton-based retailer Beall's and Venice-based drinkware firm Tervis. Those firms sold custom-made T-shirts and a line of tumblers to help raise money for Gulf of Mexico restoration efforts after the 2010 BP oil spill. Beall's has sold shirts and other Harvey-designed merchandise for years.
