PRICE: $2.64 million
PREVIOUS PRICE: $6.57 million, June 2005
LAW FIRM ON DEED: Foley & Lardner LLP, Tampa

PLANS, DESCRIPTION:
St. Petersburg entrepreneur and real estate investor Michael Galinski purchased 295.73 acres of grazing land in northern Manatee County for $2.64 million.

The price equated to $8,955 per acre.

Galinski, who invests in a number of large land parcels throughout the region, says he was attracted to the property because of its location. The property is located east of Interstate 75 between Moccasin Wallow Road and Buckeye Road.

Recent marketing materials produced by Brenda Yates of Yates & Company Realty LLC, reports that 189 acres of the property have an approved site plan for the creation of the 169-home Wellington Lake Manor community.

Another of Galinski's purchase entities, Equestrian Bull LLC, already owns a nearby equestrian center on nearly 210 acres at 15830 Country Road 675, Parrish. That property includes 86 horse stables and a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse building.

Galinski is the CEO and founder of St. Petersburg-based electronics component distributor America II Electronics.
