Encore Bank names new CFO

NAPLES — Encore Bank has hired Brian Avril as its new chief financial officer.

Avril brings nearly 25 years' experience as chief financial officer to Encore Bank, having served with international, national and statewide banks around the state of Florida. He most recently worked as chief operating officer, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Gulfstream Business Bank, which specializes in business, association and professional banking. Prior to that Avril served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Southeast Corporate Federal Credit Union, an institution that provides financial services to nearly 1,000 credit unions.

Encore Bank recently announced it grew its income in the first quarter by nearly 95%, compared with the same quarter last year.

The Naples-based bank has six branch locations.
