SARASOTA — One of the leading veterinary diagnostic centers in the Sarasota-Bradenton area has changed names.
CriticalVetCare is now what was formerly Critical Care & Veterinary Specialists of Sarasota, according to a release. Dr. Anne Chauvet, named an entrepreneur to watch in the Business Observer's 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year issue, founded the company.
“The name change reflects CriticalVetCare's evolution into a comprehensive veterinary diagnostic center from our roots as a veterinary neurology and neurosurgery practice in 2002 to the opening of CCVSS, a 24-hour emergency care center offering multispecialty care, in 2010,” Chauvet says in the release. “Our goal always has been to bring the highest level of veterinary medical care to this area that is applied judiciously and with compassion.”
The clinic is one of the few veterinary offices in the region with a hyperbaric chamber and an in-house MRI, Chauvet says. It also offers minimally invasive procedures like tracheal stenting, laparoscopy and arthroscopy, in addition to a full lab.
Chauvet expanded her practice in 2010, when she bought the former River Forest Animal Hospital on U.S. 41 for $975,000.
