Ned Davis Research Group namesake buys land near Myakka State Park

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Meghan and Ned Davis of Venice-based Ned Davis Research Group purchased 384 acres of agricultural land in eastern Sarasota County for $1 million.

The price equated to $2,605 per acre.

The property is 1.5 miles southeast of the entrance to Myakka State Park on State Road 72. The land is currently zoned open-use agricultural allowing for one residential unit for every 160 acres.

Officials from Ned Davis Research had not responded to a request for comment as of deadline.

Founded in 1980, Ned Davis Research Group researches and analyzes stocks and has more than 1,100 institutional clients in several countries. It is also a broker dealer and money manager.
