Bradenton lighting firm earns recognition

BRADENTON — Architectural Record magazine has recognized a canopy light made by Bradenton-based lighting firm Beacon Products for innovation, usefulness and aesthetics.

The product, the Ceileo, is a commercial grade outdoor and indoor recessed canopy down light, according to a release. The Ceileo produces up to an 80% increase in energy savings, the firm says.

Architectural Record highlights the best new building products every year, in a competition judged by a panel of architects, designers and product specialists. More than 500 entries were submitted this year.

Beacon Products, a division of Hubbell Lighting, provides energy efficient alternatives for the decorative outdoor lighting market. Beacon recently completed a major installation project at IMG Academy in Bradenton. Its products have also been used in airports, parking garages, colleges, hospitals and municipal parks.
