Port Tampa Bay president, CEO receives four-year contract extension
Port Tampa Bay president and CEO Paul Anderson was granted a four-year employment contract extension from the port's seven-member board of commissioners. He received a unanimous rating of “outstanding” among port commissioners during a recent review.

Anderson plans to focus on growing container, auto and general cargo and continued development of the port's maritime and industrial land assets over the next few years.

Port Tampa Bay is Florida's largest port, supporting nearly 80,000 jobs and generating almost $15 billion in annual economic impact. In addition to being a top 10 U.S. cruise port, the port handles a wide array of bulk, break bulk, containers and roll-on/roll-off cargoes, and is a major shipbuilding and repair center.

Triple Canopy Inc. expands, opens new Tampa office
Triple Canopy Inc., a Reston, Va.-based company that provides mission support, security, training and advisory services to government agencies and multinationals, has opened a new office location on Harbour Island.

The new Tampa office was chosen for its proximity to the airport, MacDill Air Force Base and Tampa Bay Convention Center and will expand the company's domestic footprint.

“The opening of our office in Tampa allows the company to be closer to the customer sets that support these [national strategic] initiatives and is a key component of the company's continued growth and diversification strategy,” Triple Canopy President Mo Mulligan says in a press release.

Advanzeon Solutions signs deal with WLT Software
Advanzeon Solutions Inc. entered into an agreement with WLT Software Enterprises Inc. for access to WLT Software's MediClaims. As its name suggests, MediClaims, handles and processes a variety of benefits and insurance claims.

“After interviewing a number of similar companies, we determined that WLT is best suited for our needs, and we could work closest with them in terms of not only the size of our projected growth, but the speed at which we expect such growth to occur,” Mark Heidt, president of Advanzeon Solutions, says in a press release.

Hertz Corp. receives best car rental firm in three travel media awards
Estero's The Hertz Corp. was recognized as “Best Car Rental Company of 2014” in three top-tier travel industry awards, including Business Traveler Magazine's 2014 Best in Business Travel Awards, Global Traveler GT Tested Reader Survey Awards, and Recommend Travel Agent Readers' Choice Awards. Readers of the various publications chose all three awards.

The Hertz Corp. operates the Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly car rental brands in more than 11,500 corporate and licensee locations throughout 145 countries.
