Air Canada will expand seasonal service from Toronto to the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport to year-round service.

The airline, according to a release, has offered daily nonstop flights on that route from November through April since 2006. Air Canada will now add two weekly nonstop flights, on Thursdays and Saturdays, in the summer and early fall to Sarasota Bradenton, which goes by the call letters SRQ. Those flights, on 97-seat Embraer-190 aircrafts, will begin May 2, the release states.

“We are excited to have Air Canada extend their seasonal service at SRQ with year-round flights,” SRQ President and CEO Rick Piccolo says in the release. “Sarasota Bradenton is a popular destination for Canadians, so we look forward to welcoming our northern neighbors the entire year. Local residents can now also enjoy non-stop service to beautiful Toronto during the summer or connect conveniently in Toronto and visit other worldwide destinations using Air Canada's extensive network.”
