40 under 40 winner wins again

Erica Tillery is on a winning streak.

Hodges University recently promoted the 36-year-old to executive vice president of operations from vice president of finance.

Tillery was one of the Business Observer's 40 under 40 this year (read her story and watch a video of her at BusinessObserver4040.com).

Tillery, who joined the university in 2010, proved her mettle last year when she raised $28.9 million in a bond sale for Naples-based Hodges. Taking advantage of low interest rates, Tillery refinanced the university's existing bonds and arranged for the purchase of a new building with the bond sale.

In her new position, Tillery will oversee the university's finance offices, business office, financial aid, purchasing, facilities, bookstore, information technology, human resources and the Peter Thomas Veterans Services Center.
