Pushing the Envelope wins two Golden Image awards
Fort Myers-based marketing communications firm Pushing the Envelope Inc. received two awards of distinction at the annual Golden Image Awards presented by the Florida Public Relations Association.
The awards were for a social media campaign called “Get on the Love Boat” for Pure Naples, a local marine attraction company, and The Branding of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach.

Hertz debuts new mobile car app for trip planning, in-car GPS syncing
Hertz and its company Navigation Solutions have launched Hertz NeverLost Companion, a travel destination app Hertz says is a first-of-its-kind offering from a major car rental company. NeverLost GPS Companion offers trip planning and navigation, giving travelers the ability to browse millions of U.S. destinations and plan trips on their mobile devices, then directly sync with the in-car Hertz NeverLost GPS system. The app also includes updated events, local weather, augmented reality features, social media sharing and more.
The Hertz NeverLost Companion app is available for free through iTunes and Google Play.

Discount Coupons Corp. buying Conejo Deals websites
Clearwater-based Discount Coupons Corp. signed a contract to acquire the operating assets of Conejo Deals Inc. The company owns conejodeals.com and simideals.com, two daily deal sites, with merchants and clients in the Southern California market.

“We are very excited about purchasing a premier Southern California property that matches up well with our other California acquisitions,” Pat Martin, Discount Coupon Corp's CEO, says in a press release. “We truly believe that the Conejo team will be instrumental in consolidation of all of our California properties under one stellar management team.”

Conejo Deals founders, Robert and Wendy Jaffe, are expected to remain with the company following the sale.

Flameret subsidiary introducing hemp oil product
Venice-based Flameret has launched Cannadol, a hemp oil rich in CBD (cannabidiol) which will be sold in ounce bottles through the company's wholly owned Colorado subsidiary, Royal Hemp Corp. The product is being offered online on Royal Hemp's website, royalhempcorporation.com and each bottle of Cannadol includes an organic hemp oil infused with 200mg of CBD. The product will be marketed as a legal hemp oil dietary supplement and will be available for sale throughout the United States.

The firm declined to offer any sales estimates for Cannadol, but says it does plan to introduce additional CBD products to market next month.

GBS The Beauty Store agrees to carry Baby Quasar products
Sarasota-based Baby Quasar has reached a partnership with GBS The Beauty Store, which agreed to carry Light Rayz LED light skin care tools, Pure Rayz and Clear Rayz, in its stores.

All seven GBS stores in South Florida will also carry Baby Quasar's masstige skin care tools. Both devices sell for $249 and include a five-year warranty.

HT Family of Cos. creates REO division, adds manager
The HT Family of Cos. has created an REO division and hired Tanya Loper as its manager.

“We are always looking for new and better ways to serve our clients, and a dedicated REO division was the next logical step.” Aaron Davis, president and CEO of the HT Family of Cos., says in a press release. “We needed someone with intimate knowledge of the intricacies related to bank-owned properties; Tanya has years of experience in the industry, is a perfect fit for our company, and is more than qualified to kick off this new venture.”

Loper has 31 years of experience in the title industry, including 21 years in the Tampa Bay area.

Sir Speedy in Sarasota ranked fourth in world franchise sales
Sir Speedy in Sarasota recently received a Top 10 Sales Volume Award recognizing it as one of the best Sir Speedy businesses in the worldwide Sir Speedy franchise network. Sir Speedy in Sarasota was ranked fourth. The business also received a Top 100 Award from Quick Printing magazine. Both awards are based on 2013 annual sales revenue and were presented at the annual Sir Speedy
Convention and Vendor Show held at the Disneyland Resort Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.
