Bradenton firm lights up IMG Academy

BRADENTON — Beacon Products, a Bradenton-based lighting firm, recently completed a major installation project inside the campus at IMG Academy.

The new lights, according to a release, will reduce energy consumption at IMG, a 450-acre sports-training facility with athletes worldwide, by up to 70%. Beacon Products, a Hubbell Lighting brand, used LED Vipers, which the firm says has a contemporary streamlined design. The lights, more than 300 across the campus, were installed on roadways, walkways, parking lots, picnic areas, stadium entrances and the campus's Legends Plaza.

“When we were looking at installing new outdoor lighting, we didn't just want to do what everyone else has been doing,” IMG Co-Managing Director of Performance Chip McCarthy says in a release. “We wanted a contemporary look that would complement our state-of-the art campus and Beacon Products lighting was the perfect choice.”
