Exotic car business opens showroom

SARASOTA — AutoXotic, a new business that provides short-term rentals of rare and exotic cars, in addition to sales, has opened a showroom.

The showroom, in south Sarasota County, is 6,700 square feet, according to a release. Vehicles from a variety of brands are on display, including Lamborghini, McLaren, Bentley, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche. The showroom, the release adds, will also have on-site detailing, custom wheels, window tinting and other services.

Sarasota entrepreneur Larry Starr, who runs companies in commercial real estate and resort properties, founded AutoXotic last year. The firm offers one-day rentals and other fractional ownership plans, in addition to sales.

“To tap further into the core growth potential of the exotic automotive market on Florida's Gulf Coast, it is important for us to reach out to our customers and deliver to them not only the most recent release and technologically advanced cars, but also world-class service and expertise,” Starr says in the release. “The new showroom allows our customers to experience the thrill of an exotic car, while speaking with our knowledgeable sales professionals.”
