FORT MYERS — Builders pulled permits for 91 multifamily units in Lee County in March, giving another boost to residential development in the area.

March's multifamily permits include a $4 million, 65-apartment building at 15251 Pamplona Run, southwest of McGregor Boulevard and Pine Ridge Road.

By contrast, contractors pulled just eight permits for multifamily homes in March 2013, according to the Lee County Community Development Department.

Meanwhile, residential builders pulled 90 permits for single-family homes in unincorporated Lee County in March. That's a 15% increase over the 78 they pulled in the same month one year ago.
