BRADENTON — IMG Academy, the Bradenton-based sports training conglomerate with students and athletes from more than 100 countries, seeks to hire up to 35 people for year-round full-time and part-time career positions.

IMG, according to a release, also has 200 openings for summer positions. All the jobs are in a wide range of departments that include academics; athletics; hospitality; marketing and sales; residential life; security; transportation; food services; grounds/maintenance; and event operations.

The potential hires follow several years of rapid expansion at IMG, from additional sports to new events. A $40 million expansion project that included a football stadium and a new residential dorm, part of 15-year, $197 million master plan launched in 2009, was recently completed. IMG now has 530 full-time and 170 part-time employees, according to the release, and over the past for years the full-time payroll has grown by 12%. The facility is one of the 10 largest private employers in Manatee County.
