FORT MYERS — Enterprise Holdings, operator of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, is relocating and renovating its rental facilities at Southwest Florida International Airport.

These improvements — part of a larger reallocation project of the rental operator — will give the Enterprise, National and Alamo brands nearly 40% of the total rental space at the airport. The firm plans to create a new customer-service building, self-service kiosks and a National Car Rental Emerald Experience gateway. In addition, Enterprise Holdings will offer high-end car rentals and electronic tablets to streamline the rental process. The changes are scheduled for completion in November.

“We believe the $3.4 million we're investing in this improved facility will spur market growth and create more jobs in Lee County,” Rob Wilson, vice president and general manager overseeing operations for Enterprise Holdings in Fort Myers, says in a statement.

In fiscal 2012, Enterprise Holdings generated $15.4 billion in revenue and operated 1.3 million vehicles worldwide.
