New York State investor Kurens buys second Gulf Coast RV resort

SELLER: Tropic Isle Park Ltd.
PROPERTY: 15175 Stringfellow Road and 7898 Raymary St., Bokeelia
PRICE: $1.66 million
PREVIOUS PRICE: $1.77 million, February 1999 and $14,000, December 2001
LAW FIRM ON DEED: Gartner Brock & Simon, Jacksonville

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: RV/mobile home investor Robert Kurens purchased the Tropic Isle Park and 1.8 acres of vacant land for $1.66 million.

The RV park occupies a 1.51-acre site on the northern end of Pine Island. It features a clubhouse, small-boat gulf access, a heated swimming pool and shuffleboard courts.

Kurens had not replied to a request for comment as of deadline. Earlier this year, he purchased the 81-space Myakka River RV Resort in Venice for $2.58 million.

Purchase entity Tropic Isle Resort LLC mortgaged the property to Riversource Life Insurance Co. for $1.4 million.
