Bank appoints new area chiefs

NAPLES — Regions Bank named Gustavo “Gus” Cobeaga city president for Naples and Daniel Eveloff city president for Fort Myers.

Regions Bank has a combined 26 offices in the area, including 14 in Fort Myers and 12 in Naples. They will report to Marty Lanahan, Regions' area president for West Florida.

Cobeaga, a native of Naples, is a West Point graduate and was a U.S. Army Artillery officer from 2003 to 2008. He joined Regions in 2008 and most recently was consumer sales manager.

Eveloff joined Regions in 2006 and most recently was business banking sales manager. He was formerly a bank branch manager with Bank of America.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Regions has $117 billion in assets. In the mid-2000s, the company acquired Union Planters Corp. and AmSouth Bancorp, ranking it among the largest banks in the country. It provides banking services to consumers and businesses throughout the South, Midwest and Texas.
