Berkshire Hathaway division hires local firm

WESLEY CHAPEL — DataMentors LLC has been chosen by Jordan's Furniture, a division of Berkshire Hathaway, to clean up its database and help with its marketing to customers.

The New England furniture and mattress retailer will use DataMentors' data quality product, DataFuse, to standardize, match and de-duplicate customer and prospect records. DataMentors' marketing analytics tool, PinPoint, will also be used to refine Jordan Furniture's email and customer-relationship management applications.

Jordan's Furniture has five store locations across Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Its store offers a number of non-traditional retail features such as IMAX 3D theaters, dancing water fountains, ice cream parlors, candy stores and full-service restaurants.

“Jordan's unique selling approach requires leveraging a partnership with a vendor who truly understands who we are and our marketing and business objectives,” Greg Jones, Jordan's vice president of marketing, says in a press release. “DataMentors' knowledge and commitment, as well as their robust suite of solutions, have made them a valuable extension of our marketing team.”
