Sarasota waterfront home sells for $4M

SARASOTA — A waterfront home on Bird Key in Sarasota sold for $4 million, the largest residential sale in that neighborhood since July.

The sale closed May 23, according to a release from Premier Sotheby's International Realty, which represented the buyer. The 5,352-square-foot home, on Mourning Dove Drive, has panoramic views of the bay and the city. It has four bedrooms, 6.5 baths and was recently upgraded with an intricate paved driveway, forged-steel doors, hurricane code windows and glass sliders, according to the release. The home has a heated pool and spa, extended dock and two Jet Ski lifts, in addition to a wine cellar, bar and three-car garage.

Premier Sotheby's International Realty sales associate Roberta Tengerdy represented the buyer.
