SARASOTA — Direct Energy, the Houston-based parent entity of Clockwork Home Services, has promoted local executive Scott Boose.
Boose, who has been president of Clockwork, one of the largest home services franchise businesses is in the country, since December 2010, is now also the president of Direct Energy Services, according to a release. Direct Energy spokeswoman Alexa Valencia says Boose will still be based in Sarasota, and will also still oversee Clockwork.
Boose replaces Direct Energy executive Eddy Collier, who is returning to his home in the United Kingdom. “I'm pleased to start this role at the beginning of an exciting period with the foundation being set for significant growth in the years to come,” Boose says in the release.
Direct Energy Home Services, through Clockwork, consists of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning; Benjamin Franklin Plumbing; and Mister Sparky Electrical, in addition to a Direct Energy Services brand in Canada. The firm operates more than 630 franchise units in 46 states and 10 Canadian provinces. Direct Energy, a subsidiary of Centrica, a British energy conglomerate, bought Clockwork in 2010 for $183 million.
