You know that when you show up at a Chico's FAS event, it's not going to be ordinary.

So when the women's retailer opened its new store-support center Feb. 27 at its corporate campus in Fort Myers, it was no surprise when employees broke out into a spirited rendition of "Gangnam Style," the pop hit by South Korean star PSY.

Even President and CEO David Dyer got into the act, shaking to the beat on stage behind the podium as employees cheered and the loud music pumped up the crowd.

Of course, there were the usual speeches, the pats on the back and the Big Scissors to cut the ribbon on the new building that now houses human resources, technology, real estate, store design and e-commerce.

The new building measures 146,000 square feet, nearly three football fields and could eventually help the company add another 450 jobs in Fort Myers. That's sweet music to our ears.
