When you think of Cape Coral, you think affordable homes. Historically, the city grew as people of modest means purchased lots in that Lee County municipality.

But there are some waterfront homes that are definitely not modest buys.

Take the home of Joseph Gaddini at 5832 Armada Court. The home is for sale for $5 million, and it's the biggest one in the Cape: 18,404 square feet.

Will Stout Jr., the developer of Cape Harbour, built the home in 2003, and in 2009 he sold it to Gaddini for $6 million, according to county property records. The Lee County Property Appraiser's most recent assessment was $4.3 million.

The six-bedroom, six-bath home includes a seven-car garage, seven boat docks, two boatlifts, a vanishing-edge pool, a guesthouse and caretakers' quarters. The home is located in the Cape Harbour residential development, with canal access to the Gulf of Mexico.
