NAPLES — Media Vista Group, a privately held Spanish-language media company, completed the acquisition of the Univision affiliate in Fort Myers and two Midwest cities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The previously announced deal gives the Naples-based company a stronger presence in Southwest Florida. It currently is the television affiliate for Azteca America in the Fort Myers-Naples area.

Besides the Univision affiliate in Fort Myers, the deal gives Media Vista a new presence in two Midwest markets: Kansas City and Minneapolis.

“I'm very excited about this transaction,” says Orlando Rosales, CEO of Media Vista Group, in a statement. “We are partnering with a great network to continue serving U.S. Hispanic audiences across the country, especially in the growing markets we will have presence with these stations.”

In addition to the television stations, Media Vista operates a Spanish-language magazine and website. You can read a recent story in the Business Observer about Media Vista here.
