SEFFNER — RV retailer Lazydays grew its market share in the towable travel trailer segment at twice the industry average over the 12 months ended in the first quarter, the company says in a statement.

The retailer increased market share by 73%, compared with the 34% industry wide average, according to Statistical Surveys Inc.

Lazydays attributed the growth to an initiative it began in May 2012 that shifted focus to the towable trailer segment, which includes fifth-wheel trailers.

The company declined to release sales figures.

Lazydays boasts a prominent location adjacent to Interstate 4 in Seffner, east of Tampa. In addition to RVs displayed for sale, the 126-acre site features an RV supply store, multiple maintenance bays and a campground.

Lazydays, founded in 1976, calls itself “the largest RV destination site in North America.” The company also has a 90-acre Tucson, Ariz., location.
