Newton, Mass.-based developer Corbelis announced it is expanding into Southwest Florida with a new office opening in Estero and the launch of a new master-planned residential community.

The Southwest Florida operation will be led by Regional President Anthony Solomon, who will also continue his responsibilities for The Ronto Group. The Southwest Florida office is located at 10600 Chevrolet Way, Suite 102, Estero.

Corbelis' new office will be focused on developing Lindsford, a Fort Myers community formerly known as Waterford Landing. Corbelis is also overseeing the management of a roughly 600-acre Bonita Beach Road property in Bonita Springs. That project is currently in its planning phase.

“This leadership team has the local and national development experience to deliver on our vision for the Lindsford community as well as grow our presence in this recovering market,” Garrett Solomon, CEO of Corbelis, says in a press release.

As currently planned, Lindsford will feature slightly more than 900 homes, trails, lakes and a community center with a fitness center, meeting space, swimming pool, tot lot and tennis, basketball and bocce courts.

Since 1995, Corbelis' senior executives have acquired, developed and/or managed more than 75 planned residential communities throughout the United States with a total capitalization exceeding $5 billion.
