Tampa, Austin firms merge to form Newscycle Solutions

TAMPA — Saxotech, a Tampa software provider for the news industry, has merged with Digital Technology International to form a new company called Newscycle Solutions.

The merger of Saxotech and Austin-based DTI was driven by the acquisition of the companies by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners, says a news release. The two companies will have a blended senior management team and 3,000 media customers in more than 25 countries.

“Our two companies also complement each other geographically, which means that Newscycle Solutions is instantly competitive as a global player in the news media market,” says Anders Christiansen, COO of Newscycle and former Saxotech CEO.

Newscycle provides solutions for content, advertising, circulation and audience relationship management, says the release.
