SARASOTA — Integrated Environmental Services Australia, a global company with a niche in site-management work, recently expanded to Sarasota.

The office is one of four the company has opened in the United States during the past year. The other three are in Austin, Houston and New York City. Based in Queensland, Australia, IESA also recently expanded to Peru, Chile, Colombia and the United Kingdom, according to a release.

The firm says the overseas expansion was driven by an increased demand for environmental monitoring. The company does air-quality testing, in addition to hydrology and water-quality testing. It recently released a cloud-based technology product that enables clients to do remote monitoring of sites, the release states.

“There is a tremendous call for our specialized environmental services,” says IESA General Manager Jack Riddell in the statement. “Our business has been engaging in these markets for some years and it was a natural progression to ensure our existing client base in these active countries have local points of contact.” '¨'¨
