Rum company appoints president

CAPE CORAL — Cape Spirits recently appointed distribution veteran Scott McKee as its president.

Cape Spirits produces Wicked Dolphin rum. Retail executive JoAnn Elardo launched Cape Spirits a year ago and is the company's CEO.

Most recently, McKee served as director of marketing for Republic National Distributing in Florida. He has also has been an executive with Remy Cointreau and E&J Gallo Winery.

“It feels good to have a true Florida product and I am passionate about building a strong Florida-made rum,” says McKee in a statement.
