BRADENTON — Longtime local commercial real estate broker Ken Hughes, formerly with Wagner Realty, is launching a new firm with a focus on medical and health care office space.

The firm, Bradenton-based CNK Realty, will open Oct. 1, according to a release. In addition to Wagner Realty, Hughes also worked for Healthcare Realty Trust, a publicly traded healthcare REIT, where he was leasing director. It was in that position, according to the release, where Hughes saw a fit for a local firm that “focuses specifically on the needs of physicians and hospitals to assist in their real estate efforts.”

CNK Realty, says Hughes, will work with prospective tenants and investors who seek to buy or lease medical office space in Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice. The firm will also assist with property management services.
