SARASOTA — The National Association of Realtors named prominent local broker Carla Rayman a president's liaison to Panama.

A Realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Sarasota, Rayman also serves on the association's Global Alliances Advisory Group, according to a release. The association says president's liaisons “play a dynamic role in maintaining NAR's partnerships with 80 national real estate associations in 59 countries.”

In her role, Rayman will host delegations from Panama's real estate association, ACOBIR, that visit the U.S. She will also attend conventions and meetings in Panama and be responsible for organizing trade missions and visits between real estate professionals from both countries, the release states.

Rayman, a past president of the Sarasota Sister Cities Association, specializes in foreign buyers. She has traveled to Central America regularly since 2006. She has also met with potential Florida real estate buyers in Brazil, Canada, England, France, Spain and Venezuela.
