The last Ross Show?

Collier County land broker Ross McIntosh has made so many forecast presentations to Naples homebuilders that the annual gathering now has a nickname: The Ross Show.

Recently, builders gathered for the 23rd annual Ross Show to listen to the broker expound on the trends of the past year and his forecast for the housing future in Lee and Collier counties. It's a lively show packed with data, usually with a few surprises and rumors thrown in to keep the crowd entertained.

McIntosh announced this would be his last presentation of the Ross Show, though we've heard this line from famous rock bands before, and we're not inclined to believe it.

Word on the street is that McIntosh might be compelled to come back next year. We think he might, especially if the housing market rebounds as expected.

But in case he doesn't return, waiting in the wings is his likely replacement: Bradley Hunter, the national director of consulting for Metrostudy.
