BUYER: Tampa Media Group Inc. (Revolution Capital Group), Tampa

SELLER: Media General Operations Inc.

PROPERTY: 202 S. Parker St., Tampa

PRICE: $3.87 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $2.7 million, August 2008 (included additional property)

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Dow Lohnes LLP, Atlanta

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Los Angeles-based investment firm Revolution Capital Group purchased the former offices of The Tampa Tribune for $3.87 million.

The three-story building was acquired as part of Revolution Capital Group's purchase of The Tampa Tribune from Media General Inc. for $9.5 million. The property was one of the two buildings The Tampa Tribune, NBC affiliate WFLA and Tampa Bay Online occupied on the site. Most of the operations of the three news organizations were maintained in the larger and newer building next door at 200 S. Parker St.

Officials with Media General confirmed the sale, but had no further comment and a spokesperson for Revolution Capital Group did not return calls prior to deadline.
