National electronics retailer Best Buy announced plans for a swift expansion into Florida and the Gulf Coast, in an effort to grab more holiday season sales.

The chain, in total, will open six Best Buy Mobile specialty stores in Florida over the next two weeks, according to a release. Two of those stores, scheduled to open Nov. 21, are on the Gulf Coast; one is on Cortez Road in Bradenton, while the other is on U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater. The company intends to open four more stores on the east coast, the release states, including two in Fort Lauderdale.

The stores focus on mobile devices, in addition to tablets, eReaders and MP3 players, the company says. When the new locations open, Richfield, Minn.-based Best Buy will have 51 Best Buy Mobile stores in Florida. The company, according to the release, plans to open 100 Best Buy Mobile specialty stores nationwide in the 2013 fiscal year.
