TALLAHASSEE — The president of the Florida Chamber Foundation, a promotional and research organization based in Tallahassee, is stepping down to create an economic development practice, according to a statement from the foundation.

Dale Brill has been president of the foundation for three years. He will leave the position in January, the statement says. Mark Wilson, president and CEO of the Florida Chamber and CEO of the Chamber Foundation, the executive who hired Brill, will serve as interim president until a new head of the foundation is selected.

Brill and his team helped to position the foundation for future growth, Wilson says in the statement.

Brill will remain a trustee of the foundation, which conducts surveys and analysis related to economic development in Florida.
