BRADENTON — Veethree Electronics & Marine LLC, a mechanical and electronic instrument supplier, intends to move to a new building and hire 20 people by 2015.
The company, which announced the expansion today, will move into a 52,000-square-foot facility in south Manatee County, according to a Manatee Economic Development Corporation release. Veethree currently has 65 employees.
“Consistent growth over the years, coupled with the successful launch of new products, has enabled Veethree to commit and expand the breadth of our operations by purchasing a state of the art manufacturing facility,” Veethree product manager Steve Nelson said in the release.
The expansion will be aided by state and county subsidies. Manatee County commissioners approved $12,000 in performance-based incentives, and the state, through Enterprise Florida, approved $48,000. Veethree also qualified for expedited permitting from Manatee County at its new location.
Veethree was founded in 1976. It moved to Manatee County in 2009 when it acquired assets of a division of Lakewood Ranch-based Teleflex. The company now expects to occupy its new facility by July. “This type of specialty manufacturing firm with a strong engineering focus is vital to efforts to diversify Manatee County's economy,” Manatee EDC President Sharon Hillstrom says in the release.
