SELLER: Learn International-U.S. Inc. and Schiller International University

PROPERTY: 300 East Bay Drive, Largo

PREVIOUS PRICE: $3.5 million, April 2006

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Foley & Lardner LLP, Tampa

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Christian International School of Healthcare Professionals LLC purchased the former Schiller International University campus in Tampa for $1.9 million.

The price equated to $58 per square foot.

The 2.52-acre campus features a 17,381-square-foot building and an adjacent 15,555-square-foot building fronting Largo's main east-west thoroughfare, East Bay Drive. The property also included 166 parking spaces.

Chris Howell of Klein & Heuchan Inc. represented the sellers, Learn International-U.S. Inc. and Schiller International University.

“This highly visible campus is located in the heart of Largo directly across from Largo Central Park,” Steven Klein, vice president of Klein & Heuchan, says in a press release. “The two buildings were previously renovated to accommodate Schiller International University and provide a wonderful opportunity for the new school to quickly give its students a great learning environment.”

The former Schiller campus was the second-largest school campus Klein & Heuchan sold in Largo. In October, the brokerage sold the former Pinellas County Jewish Day School on Highland Avenue.

Calls to Christian International School of Healthcare Professionals for comment were not returned prior to deadline.

The buyer mortgaged the property to Capital Bank for $2.35 million.
