FORT MYERS — Technology company Yippy Inc. has filed to have its shares traded on OTCQX, an over-the-counter stock market.

Yippy provides search engines and Web portals for family-friendly websites that filter out indecent material or content that is not appropriate for children.

The company's stock currently trades on the Pink Sheet system, another over-the-counter market. However, Yippy CEO Rich Granville says OTCQX has stricter standards of reporting and its listings are less speculative than the Pink Sheet system.

Earlier in March, Yippy announced it had secured $2 million in debt financing from Magna Group, a New York City investment firm.
