BONITA SPRINGS — Keith Bass, a veteran executive of the homebuilding industry, joined the board of directors of WCI Communities.

A resident of Tampa, Bass has held senior management positions with homebuilders Taylor Woodrow and Ryland Homes, where he was president of the south region that included Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas.

“I am pleased to welcome Keith to the board of directors and confident that his knowledge of the Florida market, his focus on creating business efficiencies, his understanding of homebuilding operations and the importance of customer satisfaction will provide excellent guidance,” says David Fry, WCI's president and CEO.

Developer and homebuilder WCI emerged from bankruptcy reorganization in September 2009 and has gradually restarted operations in residential developments throughout Florida where it halted work during the real estate downturn. The company's homes range in price from $100,000 to $1 million.
