Lennar buying 227 lots in Fiddler's Creek community

Fiddler's Creek LLC has agreed to sell 227 single-family and coach home sites in the master-planned Fiddler's Creek development to Lennar Corp.

Lennar plans to start construction on the sites soon, beginning with the village of Millbrook within the Aviamar section in Fiddler's Creek. It also plans to develop Runway Bay, a neighborhood of 98 single-family homes along The Creek Course in the Naples development's Marsh Cove section.

The agreement represents the company's first purchases in the community. Terms were not disclosed.

Fiddler's Creek, located just off Collier Boulevard on the way to Marco Island, is zoned for a total of 6,000 residences in nearly 100 neighborhoods. To date, 1,743 homes have been completed and an additional 900 home sites have been improved.

“This community offers an attractive lifestyle and natural setting that will be very desirable to our buyers,” Darin McMurray, president of the Southwest Florida division of Lennar Homes, says in a press release.

Launched in 1998, Fiddler's Creek features a 54,000-square-foot club and spa, fitness center, multi-pool swimming complex, tennis courts and restaurants.
