Engineers win awards

FORT MYERS — Two engineers from TKW Consulting Engineers won top recognition from their peers at the Florida Engineering Society recently.

Trudi Williams, the owner and CEO of Fort Myers-based TKW, received the society's Outstanding Service Award. Williams earned the award for her service as a state legislator for eight years and her business accomplishments.

Patrick Day, the principal of TKW, won the society's Engineer of the Year award. Among other projects, Day was the project manager for the utilities portion of the city of Fort Myers Downtown Streetscape Project.

Besides its headquarters in Fort Myers, TKW also has an office in Tallahassee.
